HERE IS THE PLAN:  Each household will have an FRS or GMRS radio that you will purchase from San Juan Islands PREPARE (cost $25 – $50 per radio, including training and follow-up drills). Your radios will be pre-programmed to a designated channel for the ZONE where you live.  We will train you how to use your radio and communicate clearly during an emergency.   During an emergency, trained radio operators may relay unmet needs to appropriate participating organizations, subject to available resources and established emergency protocols.
