Why do we need this group?
San Juan Islands Prepare mission statement is to organize and prepare a team of volunteers that have skills that can be useful in the event of an emergency.
Are you connected to other agencies?
If governmental agencies request assistance, we will put a call out to volunteers to see if they are available to assist.
Will my data be protected?
When you register to become a volunteer, you are consenting to be notified in the event of an emergency. If you opt in to emails, you will receive notices about upcoming events, networking opportunities and roundtable discussions focusing on prepareparedness for yourself and our community. We will send you emails periodically to see if you still live in the area and are willing to assist in the event of an emergency. Your data will not be sold or transferred to any other source, including governmental agencies.
Are you affiliated with other Prepares Groups?
San Juan Islands Prepare is following business model generously provided by Bainbridge Prepares. Learn more about how you can join the movement at bainbridgeprepares.org/model
Testimonials
“Every thing about what you all are doing is AWESOME, and makes me wish I was staying here so I could be part of it. REALLY, this is exactly what we need. One of the reasons I decided to move eastward from the coast is because I’ve always had nagging concerns about “the big one.” It’s what got me into Ham radio, and what held my interest for the years since getting my license. Liz, maybe if you’d come along a year ago, before I decided to leave, I would have felt safe enough to stay . So KUDOS to you and all involved. I look forward to more posts, to following the development of this beautiful emergency radio network! Thank you for your time and effort… it’s HUGE! Robin KJ7BFD
