Community Emergency Response Team

Official CERT Team requirements require consent from the Department of Emergency Management. Because this consent has been denied, San Juan Islands PREPARE is no longer sponsoring CERT training. If/when consent is obtained, SJIP stands ready to endorse CERT in San Juan County.

San Juan Islands PREPARE is launching a Mutual Aid Response Team, with Registration opening in 2026. Curriculum is under development and will be given to Sheriff, EMS, Fire and DEM for review and comment before implementation.
